Nora Mohamed

As the Senior Vice President for the Industry Support Division, Nora is responsible for the provision of advisory services, business support, and implementation of programs for the progressive development of bio-based and agro-based companies in contribution to the overall performance of Malaysian SMEs. Advisory services and area of facilitation include funding, entrepreneurship, market access, regulatory, human capital, and various developmental programs to assist commercialisation activities.

Nora started her career with Bioeconomy Corporation in 2009. In the course of her employment, Nora has played a key role in building the local SMEs in the biotechnology space in Malaysia. She has facilitated the applications and conferment of BioNexus Status to qualified companies and has been extensively involved in the management of Government’s funds under various schemes to develop businesses in the supported areas of Healthcare, Agriculture, and Industrial.

Prior to joining Bioeconomy Corporation, Nora held various positions at the Malaysian Communications & Multimedia Commission (MCMC) and Ericsson Malaysia. Nora graduated from Birmingham City University, United Kingdom in Accountancy and began her career as a Junior Accountant in a leading tyre manufacturing company, Goodyear Malaysia Berhad.
